Dr Who’s David Tennant marries on-screen daughter

IT will be definitely a happy New Year for Doctor Who heartthrob David Tennant after he tied the knot with fiancée Georgia Moffett.
The former Timelord’s wedding ring was on show from under a long Doctor Who-style coat he had teamed with a striped scarf, while Georgia, 27, had her platinum round-cut diamond sparkler on display. Our exclusive pictures show the couple beaming at each other as they walk hand-in-hand through London yesterday after their first night as a married couple.
Only family and close friends were invited to the wedding, on Friday evening at an undisclosed location in London.
Yesterday bleary-eyed guests were seen coming and going from the couple’s west London home, and the newlyweds were expected to continue celebrating the nuptials with a grand New Year’s Eve party last night.
Georgia met David, 40, when she played the Doctor’s daughter on the show in 2008.
They have an eight-month-old baby daughter and he proposed last Christmas.

Georgia, who also played DI Samantha Nixon’s daughter Abigail in The Bill, has a son from a previous relationship.
Georgia will be used to having a Timelord in the house – her father is Peter Davidson who played Doctor Who in the 80s. He has said of Georgia’s love for David: “I’m delighted Georgia has found happiness.”
Modest David – who played the Doctor for five years before being replaced by Matt Smith in 2010 – has always shrugged off suggestions he is a sex symbol. David, son of a Church of Scotland minister, said: “I have had some girlfriends but my bedpost really has very few notches compared with other actors.”
