This is sort of how I picture Barty to look after he escaped the dalek prisonship. Except not really. At all actually. His hair isn't quite as spiky anymore and it's been turned grey from the aging. His suit was almost non-existent save for his trousers. His old coat and shirt were only small strips here and there that hung against his chest or off his arms. His trousers were mostly intact but riddled with large cuts and holes and the bottom edges had been torn. He shoes had been lost ages ago leaving his bloodied feet very visible. He was covered in blood from his face all the way to those bared feet. And bleeding profusely. The worst of which came from his back where the worst of his injuries were. There were less severe cuts and gashes on his legs and arms but his back was the most serious of them all. The daleks created weapons with a power similar to the sonic screwdriver but without all the abilities. The energy of it I suppose. The most effective use type they found were in whips. Which they used on Barty as their test subject. Not only did the whips poison his skin from the inside but it altered his DNA. This caused his hair to turn grey. His body to become even more weak against human illness and disease. And his body's weight to become stuck in the form it was a currently in at the time - which was severely underweight due to starvation. The whips are what caused the gashes in his arms legs and chest. His back was left alone until they learned how to up the power in the weapons. And when they finally set to work there. the whips tore large pieces of his flesh away leaving him on the brink of death when he finally managed to escape. Nearly 30 years later. A small war between himself and the daleks broke out as he tried to get home to his family on Earth. resulting in the TARDIS being severely damaged and only adding to Barty's already near fatal injuries. The TARDIS crashed into the library of a future version of Barty's home where he nearly bled to death in the arms of his husband. / reblog / 527 notes
