I’m still a bit disappointed that the torch will not be carried by David, but I think it’s still cool that the Doctor will be the torchbearer (whichever is that), so you go Matt!

You know what, guys? I think the fandom made David very happy just for trying to make him involved, because I bet he knows about the petition and everything, and maybe that counts more than the result, doesn’t it?

Also, it’s a huge honour for Matt and he’s an awesome Doctor too and he’s the current Doctor after all, so even if the fact that he’ll run instead of David doesn’t make sense according to the series, it does if we consider that we live in RL and now, in 2012, Matt is the protagonist.

I am happy for Matt and everyone should be, because I think David is happy for him too.

P.s: And fingers crossed he doesn’t trip - just joking, he’ll do great! :)
